Serendra’s fabulous restaurants

It was my bestfriend’s birthday and I just had to go out and celebrate it with her. It took us like hours before we had decided where to eat. There are tons of restaurants that you can see at the FORT. The place is great because of the nice ambience, you’d feel safe to walk around with your friends and family. You don’t have to spend too much money for your bonding. You just have to be wise and look for a nice place that you can dine in without spending too much.

Here are the restaurants that we  tried out:

Healthy Kitchen— This has to be one of my top favorite restaurants in Bonifacio High Street. They serve the most sumptuous dishes that not only caters to your taste buds but to your entire body since it’s absolutely healthy. You would love the whole look and feel of the restaurant since it has such a homey touch to it. I would definitely not mind eating at this place everyday.

KABISERA Restaurant– If you think that gourmet dishes are only for the ones who can afford it, when you go dine at Kabisera restaurant you are in for the shock of your life. They have an amazing variety of Filipino food that are cooked  excellently but with an unbelievably low price. I took my friends here last weekend and we enjoyed the unique blend of oriental dishes, and best of all, we didnt even have to spend much for it.

Kopi Tiam’s Binondo Noodles

Craving for some yummy noodles? Well, I’m not a major fan because I’m a rice person. But after I tasted Kopi Tiam’s binondo noodles, I guess I finally became a noodle fan. I’m not exaggerating or anything but it’s not the typical noodles that you get to taste everyday. It has this Asian taste that people will really get addicted to. One bowl of Binondo noodles is enough to fill you up, no need to order side dishes (That is from my point of view) You can choose either rice noodles or egg noodles, it has chicken, pork, siomai, egg, and leafy vegetables. You’ll forget your name after you tasted Kopi Tiam’s Binondo noodles.  But I’m not yet done, I still have space for desserts, so when I looked up in Kopi Tiam’s menu, I found an intriguing name of a dessert “Storm”. So I got it and little did I know that I’m in for a great surprise. After a long wait, I finally got my dessert and WOW! I was in storm of yumminess. It has snowy ice, I’m not sure how they did it, but it was really good, there’s caramel and corn and the sweetness was just right. I’m not sure of the other ingredients they used, but who cares I can just order it everytime I go there. I’m not an exaggerated person, but you should really try dining at Kopi Tiam in Santolan Quezon City, near Camp Crame and I’m sure you’ll have the same reaction. Happy Eating!

Flapjacks at UP Ayala-Land

Check this out. I was looking for a perfect place where I can have a breakfast date with my bestfriend. It was his birthday and I wanted to surprise him. I tried calling a lot of my favorite restaurants, but unfortunately they don’t offer breakfast. I almost gave up, but I came across “Flapjack’s”. It’s inside techno hub in UP Ayala-Land. It was really great because the people working there are really nice and very accommodating. They allowed me to set up balloons and reserved an area for two people. (Take note, it was for free). Then here comes the menu, I chose the ultimate breakfast, it has sausage, pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Honestly one order is good for 2 people. I love the way they made their pancakes, it’s actually better than pancake house. I was really overwhelmed because the price is very affordable. One more thing why I love this place is because of the ambiance. It was very neat and can actually be compared with the breakfast diner in the states. A lot of people who goes to Flapjacks enjoys drinking their favorite cup of coffee while browsing through the internet. Flapjacks is a Wi-Fi zone area so you can chat with your loved one while enjoying your sumptuous breakfast.

So if you’re in a tight budget and you want to set up a nice breakfast date with someone special, you can try and check out all the good stuff here in Flapjacks at UP- Ayala Land Techno Hub in Quezon City.

Celebrating Valentine’s in Chinese New Year

valentinesThis year, Valentine’s day is going to be very busy. On top of it falling on a Sunday, it’s also going to be Chinese New Year. There are lots of festivities going on. It would be a Valentine’s Day that’s not just for lovers, but for the whole family. Here are some suggestions you can do to make this day extra special and memorable:

1. If you are planning on dining, you should have already made your reservations weeks in advance. All restaurants should be teeming with guests that Sunday. You cannot be just dropping by, expecting to be seated. Pick your restaurant now and call up. Don’t do it the last minute.

2. For the whole family to enjoy, you can check out these family activities that only take place once in a year:

  • The Hot Air Balloon Festival in Pampanga, You can check out the website for the details.
  • The World Pyro Olympics at the Mall of Asia. It is actually running for a whole month, commencing on February 14. You can check the website for details.
  • The Big Binondo Food WOK happening in Chinatown on Chinese New Year should be something you can also look forward to with the whole family. You can check the website for details.

3. Lastly, Valentine’s Day is a time not only for dining, but also music. There are several Valentine concerts set. Check with the SM Ticketworld or Ticketnet for which stars are going to have Valentine’s shows and make your reservations already.

However you spend your day on February 14th, spend it with your loved-ones and have a great time!

// // WANTING to tap the potential of Cebu as an emerging outsourcing destination for global firms, a Cebu-based family has converted its five-hectare property along Don Sergio Osmeña Blvd. in the North Reclamation Area (NRA), Cebu City into an information technology (IT) park.

The Go family started putting up the Qimonda IT Center in March 2008. It is expected to be complete by the end of this year, along with site development features like a taxi and bus terminal and a small park.

“We wanted to diversify and venture into real estate. We, being locals in Cebu and having an available property, decided to take advantage of the booming business process outsourcing (BPO) industry here,” said cousins Jonas and Albert Go, whose families are engaged in food manufacturing and agribusiness.

The six-storey center provides a total leasable space of about 22,800 square meters. It covers about half a hectare of the entire property, which used to be an idle lot that has been with the Go family for about a decade already.

The ground floor will be designed for al fresco dining, recruitment centers and logistics offices, while the second up to the sixth floors will be built for call centers and BPO facilities.

Visit Cebu and enjoy the wonders of dining and have the time of of your life as you wine, dine with your families.
