For those who are craving Greek theme ambiance and food, Cyma Restaurant is now open in Cebu. Cyma is located in Ayala Malls, and Boracay. Cyma has a unique distinction from its Greek foods that provides Philippine dining market one of the healthiest foods. Cyma has travelled to different parts of Greece to create the finest choices of foods to be offered to Filipinos. Their restaurant is also Greek themed which makes your experience more Greek and less Filipino.

Cyma launches its new menu which offers a wide range of healthy Greek foods, and integration of cultures and flavours. Cyma restaurants are usually packed with people so the best time to experience serenity and relaxing dining is during the afternoon on weekdays. That is , if you’re not busy.

Prices ranges from 200/dish to 400. It might be quite pricey but I assure you that your total Greek experience would be worth it. One of the enjoyable experience in Cyma is their staff shouting ” Opa” in serving their food. Opa refers to Hooray in Greek. Enjoy your time at Cyma restaurants and fell in love with Greece again.

If you’re from Cebu then Island souvenirs is very familiar to you. Island souvenirs is one of the boutiques tourist would love to explore. One of the reason is its presentation of the culture of the country. It also showcases items that presents the Philippines in a creative way. Through mugs, caps, t-shirts, swimwear’s and bracelets, Island Souvenirs gives tourist a piece of something to remember in our small island Cebu.

According to their site island souvenirs is a “carved out a new market niche for premium quality souvenirs creatively designed and showcased in vibrant shopping environments.”

What I also like about their stores is their warm feeling that I am home. They are also filled with summer colours all year long which gave us some colour on rainy days. Today people are jam packed in the store to get their own I LOVE CEBU T-shirts which will be personalized by your own name. Its really cool and creative and shows our love for our hometown.

Cebu personalities started showing of their I LOVE CEBU t-shirts which attracted a lot of locals. Island Souvenirs personalized our love for Cebu and keeps us wanting for more.

A lot of people enjoy running around a large field because it gives them a rush feeling. Recently a Zorb Ball has been invented to answer to all our leisure problems.

Zorbing is the recreation of rolling downhill in an orb, generally made of transparent plastic. Zorbing is generally performed on a gentle slope, but can also be done on a level surface, permitting more rider control. In the absence of hills some operators have constructed inflatable, wooden or metal ramps. There are two types of orbs, harnessed and non-harnessed. Non-harness orbs carry up to three riders, while the harness orbs are constructed for one to two riders.

The whole thing is like globe riding, you get to ride around an orb made of plastic which is very exciting. To those who are dying to try this one out, it is now ready for riding in Cebu. This facility opened on Sept. 19 at the Tubod Flowing Water Resort in Minglanilla, Cebu.

It’s always summer, and were all dying to go out and take a cool dip at the beach. Since Im a beach addict myself, I came to a point to finally give up on a finding a good, affordable resort. South beaches are always very relaxing and it provides you a relaxing day at the beach. So I did some research and found a simple yet tempting resort at Alegria.

One hundred and seventeen kilometers away from Cebu City, Alegria boasts of its pristine beaches, scenic and enchanting waterfalls, and unexplored caves among others. The town is also proud of its rich seabed perfect for snorkeling and diving. Baton Malunhaw Beach Resort is a development undertaken by the Municipality of Alegria, Cebu. It is located in Sangi, Alegria Cebu (10~15 minutes away from Kawasan Falls).

The resort which is developed and maintained by the Municipality of Alegria is very affordable which has a P40/head entrance fee.

The resort also has swimming pool for those who are not very fond of the beach.Aside from the resort, you can also enjoy the Canlaob Spring which has a very cooling sensation to those who are suffering from the scorching heat of the summer.

The park, which was open to the public by the end of October, is both a training ground for Eskrima students and a getaway haven for adventurers and ordinary people alike.

The main attraction is the 180-meter long zipline course—a fun ride to experience—that not only gives users the adrenaline rush but also a picturesque view of Cebu City.

One of the areas assets included some swings which are offered at P20.00 only. The location is also allows families to bring foods and snacks for them to munch while waiting for their turn. Enjoy a bit of adrenalin as you jump yourself way in to the sky.

Back in High School, Cebu Wetland was merely a place for people to visit to go boating and fishing. That’s about it. Today, Cebu Wetland has become a resort with 20 new rooms and a pool. You could also have a quiet dinner at their restaurant which is surrounded by water and live fishes.

Located in highway Tagonol, the resort has a swimming pool and a manmade fishpond with tilapia and catfish that visitors can catch. Visitors can also do so from the edge of the pond or from the three floating restaurants that jut out to the pond, or better still, from a pedal-paddle boat crafted by the resort owner, Engr. Julito Roden. Wetland has five of these pedal-paddle boats, which move around the pond by pedaling, or by paddling, or both.

Wetland is a dream being realized by Engr. Roden. When he was 16, he came to Cebu—he is from Southern Leyte—to continue his studies in the big city. He has been here since then, finishing mechanical engineering and landing in second place in the board exam in 1963. He also took up electrical engineering and passed the board, third place, in 1969.

the place has attracted visitors and has been catering to parties: baptismal, birthdays, and clan reunions. The place, open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., is crowded on weekends when, to further entertain its guests, the Synapse band plays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m

There is no entrance fee. If you want, you can avail their boat rides for only P 50.oo which is already unlimited. The pool’s usage is P 100.00.

If you’re working on an 8 to 5 job or probably on graveyard shift, then I suggest that you visit the mountains for some peace and relaxation. The newly opened Eco-friendly park in Busay gives you the opportunity to detoxify your mind and soul. Located at the hills of Cebu is Kan Irag Natures Park.

The Kan-irag Nature Park is a newly opened watershed and nature park in the uplands of Cebu City. It was once a bald mountain, but due to reforestation with native trees, the area became a functioning watershed. It is home to about 27 native bird species, such as the Emerald dove, Asian Glossy Starling, the Collared Kingfisher, the Black-naped Oriole, and the Olive-backed Sunbird. The park’s size is 71 hectares.

Ayala Heights Cebu was supposed to be a posh subdivision ala Maria Luisa or Beverly Hills in one of the mountain barangays of Cebu City. However the development was overtaken by a presidential decree since the area where it belongs is a watershed.

Travel-Cebu gave us some brief background of the new place.

“The Kan-irag Nature Park, developed by Ayala Land Inc., sits on a 70-hectare site at Ayala Heights in Cebu City. So far, only 20 hectares have been developed which boasts of a nature trail featuring some of Cebu’s native flora and fauna.

The park management is aiming to introduce additional features next year such as zip line, mountain climbing, horse back riding, camping, fishing, etc. Expect no zoos here since the entire nature park is a natural habitat — putting such will just defeat the purpose. According to the park ranger who also acted as our guide all throughout, they are expecting some animals like monkeys to come back and thrive in the park. To date, various species of birds can be found, the most popular of which is the Kingfisher.”

Its breathtaking to smell the airs of busay and see the whole city from the top. City lights are also best seen on night.
