Now that the May 2010 Elections have passed (well, sort of) it remains to be seen what is in store for Filipinos and the businesses scattered over the metropolis. Sure we have a new president but he is still untested. Stability as far as security and if the activists will now be at ease with the new administration has not been settled and until the new president (Benigno Aquino III) takes office, it may not be the best place to visit right now.

For one, the vice presidency has been far from settled. Sen. Manuel Roxas and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay are still slugging it out with the latter leading by about 800,000 votes or so. The new senators have been proclaimed and if you sum it all up, the overall governance of the Philippines still remains questionable.

Add to that political bickering within the ranks which include the naming of Renato Corona as the new Chief Justice which has drawn a howl of protests can only mean that Manila is not at all safe nor secure. Not to discourage touriststs or balikbayans, it would be best to wait until the smoke clears and see if the Philippines had indeed chosen wisely on their new leaders. For the meantime, save your travel itineraries for at least a couple of months more.

Seriously, does he seem to be the right person to lead the Philippines? To date, he unofficially leads former President Joseph Estrada in the polls but if the trend continues, Benigno Aquino III stands to be the next president of the Philippines.

Noynoy Aquino III is a 50 year old bachelor, someone whose personality was being hit. He was being tried for being psychologically “unfit” and if the picture you see here from ABS-CBN is any indication, is this the face you can trust? What is he going to do when problems like a “Kudeta” arises? Admit he is autistic? GEEZ!

The problem with the Filipino people is they trust this guy since his parents were former Presidents. Spare me that crap! What has he proven? He has taken advantage of his mother’s death as a springboard to dive into the Philippines presidential race. He has nothing to show. In fact, I remember him saying that he will not add taxes, a declaration he later on rescinded.

True or not, Aquino obviously looks like he is mentally incapacitated. You know what a mongoloid looks like so don’t you even dare deny it. Kris Aquino will obviously be the one behind his back and technically calling the shots. And all the while Kris was said to be leaving for the United States if his brother won. Wanna bet she will not hold true to her word and that she just used it as leverage?

To all the Filipinos, Aquino is not officially the next President of the Philippines. But you have cast your votes and this is what you have chosen. I am not saying that the other candidates were any better but electing a mentally unfit senator with nothing to show? I can just smell further doom for the Republic of the Philippines. God Save Us ALL!

For those who are craving Greek theme ambiance and food, Cyma Restaurant is now open in Cebu. Cyma is located in Ayala Malls, and Boracay. Cyma has a unique distinction from its Greek foods that provides Philippine dining market one of the healthiest foods. Cyma has travelled to different parts of Greece to create the finest choices of foods to be offered to Filipinos. Their restaurant is also Greek themed which makes your experience more Greek and less Filipino.

Cyma launches its new menu which offers a wide range of healthy Greek foods, and integration of cultures and flavours. Cyma restaurants are usually packed with people so the best time to experience serenity and relaxing dining is during the afternoon on weekdays. That is , if you’re not busy.

Prices ranges from 200/dish to 400. It might be quite pricey but I assure you that your total Greek experience would be worth it. One of the enjoyable experience in Cyma is their staff shouting ” Opa” in serving their food. Opa refers to Hooray in Greek. Enjoy your time at Cyma restaurants and fell in love with Greece again.

Summer is one of my favourite holidays during the year. You get a feeling of relaxation, heat and a whole lot of time dedicating yourself at the beach. It’s quite a surreal feeling when you’re surrounded by the sun, the beach and the warm sand with your loved ones. On one account, this feeling cannot be explained by mere words.

Just this weekend, I visited Moalboal to enhance my summer feeling again. We stayed at a private area which has a cafe bar and restaurant name Ravenala Cafe Bar. It has a very beach themed feeling which helps you appreciate your time dining in their cafe. Aside from that, you also have the beach in front of you to enjoy. The panoramic view of the resort gives you an aphrodisiac feeling towards life. The resort has a shifting sandbar near the resort and is welcoming and charming.

Beautifully landscaped and well-kept as well, Ravenala offers accommodation in comfortable nipa hut like cottages. So while you’re at Bas Daku, Moalboal, I recomend that you visit this resort and enjoy sunset at west.

For all those summer freaks out there, you might want to check on the latest trends in the swimwear department. It is also important to know the right swimwear to avoid yourself being conscious. Summer does not only mean that you will forget to take care of your skin, your hair and your health. There are so many ways for you to achieve excitement this summer and at the same time taking care of your body. One of the mostly stylish couture for swimwear today is the Soak Swimwear which has an outlet for fashion creativity and entrepreneurial skills to achieve funky swimwears. Soak does not only tap on its local fan base but has already reached international customers alike. According to Soak swimwear, each collection is will embody a contemporary chick that will make you feel relay, sexy on upscale and trendy beach resorts.

Soak Swimwear’s collection attracted me because it has different collections with different attitude which makes it even better. Soak Swimwear also creates a body enhancing pieces that would make you enjoy your vacation even better. Aside from finding the right brand of swimwear, our next step would be finding the right swimsuit for your body.

For girls with small bust, try fringes, ruffles and triangle tops to enhance your bust. For those who are trying to find a way to hide their belly: A belted one piece would create an illusion to keep your belly look smaller.

So there you have it. Enjoy your summer!

Summer is always boring for the little tykes. There’s so much to do during summer that you don’t get to do on normal days. There’s the beach to enjoy the cool waters and sun. For people in Cebu and Philippines, you might want to visit the mountains for refreshing air to revitalize your spirit and minds. This summer engage yourself and your kids in summer workshops for you to enjoy the holidays.

Enrol in their creative dancing and discover the beauty of dancing and meet new friends. For those who can’t swim, then summer is the time for you to take swimming lessons.
One of the best places to visit in the Visayas region is Bohol. It does not only provide you with heart-warming people. Rich nature, floating restaurants but they have the best beaches in the world. There sand are very find and powdery white. Bohol also attracts numerous tourists due to its nature theme location and its exceptional wonders which include the Chocolate Hills.

One of the innovative resorts I have encountered is the Oops Bar and Resort located in Tawala , Panglao, Bohol. It has a very catchy name and a affordable accomodation with long strech of white sands. The resort also has a bar which offers a wide variety of foods to enjoy for both locals and foreigners alike. The resort also has good customer service and has been recommended by a lot of returning tourist. To reach Panglao from Cebu, you need to ride a fast craft to reach Tagbilaran. Upon reaching Tagbilaran, there are several ways of reaching the resorts. This includes jeepneys , taxis and motorcycles.

Enjoy your summer holidays with the best beaches in the world.
