Going North is also one of the exciting things to do upon visiting Cebu. There’s so much to see and things to learn. North of Cebu has wonderful religious places, beaches, and tourist attractions. Tabuelan located North of Cebu has attracted tourist and locals.

Tabuelan is a 5th class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 21,421 people.

Durhan Beach resort is also a great location to stay if you plan to visit Tabuelan. It has airconditioned rooms and cheap room rates. The city also has white beaches, so you might as well enjoy the stay.
Durhan White Beach Resort is a truly remarkable place to stay, a paradise sanctuary and is located in Tabunok, Tabuelan, Cebu, Philippines.

Cebu, Philippines — The Queen City of the South is home, now close to three thousands white beach resorts and Durhan White Beach Resort in Tabuelan, CebuPhilippines is one of the many resorts that offers a good place to relax and unwind. With its white sand, is one of the finest if not hospitable resorts that are available to serve bothy local and tourists.

Tabuelan is not really a well known province here in Cebu. Yet despite of it all, a paradise awaits in this little province. To get to Tabuelan, travel 90 kms in the North-Western part of Cebu Province, before you reach San Remegio there Tabuelan is located, approximately three hours ride from Cebu City proper. Tact away in this province, in a county called Tabunok, is Durhan Beach Resort.

You may opt on travelling in the transcentral highway if you own a vehicle or the conventional north road where you can rent a V-Hire which will cost you around Php1100 or more if non-staying but if you prefer the resort to arrange a vehicle for you this will cost around Php4500 since the vehicle wil be with you all throughout your vacation.

The resort has alot to offer other than a place to stay and relax on the beach front. They have a restaurant-sarisari store in one that offers variety of goods, a videoke machine for those who want to sing their frustrations out or for those who just love to sing. And for those who just cannot leave their work behind, wifi is available in the restaurant.

Outside the restaurant is the recreation area, they have a billiard table, a table tennis and what I believed to be a mahjong table as well.

They have mushroom tables on the beach front and a tent by the beach with yet another videoke machine.

Trully Tabuelan and Cebu is a great place to stay and relax.

Cebu Guitars

nggshow.php

Learning to play the guitar was one of my goals back in my senior years. I just loved the idea of being able to play and be in one with the guitar. I took lesson and learned them by heart. Guitars have always been useful in entertainment, gatherings and other events. Here in the Philippines, Cebu is one of the famous creators of guitar. They create durable and tune loving guitars. Guitars in Cebu are mostly found in Mactan. If you visit Mactan, you can see a lot of stalls and shops that produces guitars.

The province of Cebu has long been known for its production of locally handmade acoustic guitars, bandurrias (Filipino mandolins), banjos and ukuleles. Cebu’s guitar makers are considered to be among the world’s finest craftsmen, making their produce one of the most sought-after kinds around the globe. Exactly just why? Well, every guitar is a product of a month’s worth of hard work and sacrifice, making perfection the only thing acceptable. One craftsman is responsible for the entire production process of a guitar, such a meticulous production process is the best guarantee for the utmost perfection and quality of the guitars.

In Mactan Island, the center of Cebu’s guitar-making industry, the craft of guitar-making is passed from generation to generation and the industry involves many families, the most prominent of whom is the Malingin family and the three sisters, Lilang, Susing, and Celia, whose names have become well-known “brand names” of Mactan guitars. Local guitars are typically made of various kinds of soft and hard woods, from nangka (jackfruit) to the more prized naga (narra) and kamagong (ebony). These may come attractively decorated or inlaid with shell.
